
De’Jah Gross joined the 18 News team in August of 2022. She is currently the Noon and Weekend Evening News Anchor and a Multimedia Journalist. De’Jah graduated from Hofstra University in Long Island, NY in December 2021, where she received her Bachelors of Arts in Journalism with a minor in Sociology.
During her time at Hofstra, De’Jah interned at Salem Media Group and Geneus Media. Additionally, she was an anchor and associate producer at Hofstra’s four-time Marconi Award-winning radio station WRHU-FM’s evening newscast, Newsline. There, she covered many local and national stories including the 2020 New York City elections, and conducted interviews with state and county officials. She was also one of the National News anchors for Hofstra’s award-winning broadcast television news show, Hofstra Today.
In her spare time, the Baltimore native loves traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and connecting with the community. De’Jah has always dreamed of moving to New York to fulfill her aspirations of being a journalist. She enjoys reporting on topics that involve acts of service and education, most notably demonstrated as she reports for Nexstar’s Golden Apple Award and Remarkable Woman.
De’Jah is passionate about delivering a vast variety of news to the Twin Tiers and is dedicated to learning about and telling your stories.
