Jordan Norkus joined the 18 News team in December 2019, where she currently works as an Evening News Anchor.
Born in Waterbury, Connecticut, Jordan graduated from Sacred Heart University in 2018 with a B.A. in Media Arts (Concentration in Journalism) and Theatre Arts (Concentration in Musical Theatre). She furthered her education at Sacred Heart for another year and received her M.A. in Broadcast Journalism and Media Production in 2019.
During her time at Sacred Heart, Jordan was involved with the student-run television news program and newspaper, among many other media-related clubs and activities. She also played leading roles within the university’s Theatre Arts Program—through which she was nominated for six BroadwayWorld Awards.
Before making her way to Elmira, Jordan interned and was a freelance reporter for WSHU Public Radio—Connecticut and Long Island’s NPR-affiliated radio station.
When she’s not working, Jordan enjoys eating pasta, binge-watching television shows, and spending time with loved ones. She is so excited to explore the Twin Tiers and share stories with the community.
