Marz Anderson joins WETM as a reporter/multimedia journalist following completing his bachelor’s degree in Journalism at Kent State University in the Fall of 2022.
Marz is a Heart Journalism award winner placing number 16th nationally in what is considered the “Pulitzer Prize of Collegiate Journalism.”
During his time at Kent State, Marz worked closely with the Kent State Student Media as a multimedia journalist/reporter shooting, writing, and editing his reports with TV2 News. He also served as a weather and segment anchor and a newscast producer. Additionally, Marz worked as a radio jockey, marketing, and web director and later became the general manager of the student-run radio station Black Squirrel Radio.
Marz also spent time interning with WKYC 3 News in Cleveland, Ohio where he served as a news intern, writing for varied newscast, editing packages, and working closely with the investigative team. He advocates on social issues and enjoys asking the tough questions.
The Cleveland native enjoys all things music and entertainment but has experience in all forms of storytelling. He also enjoys graphic design, marketing, and social media content creation. Reality TV is his guilty pleasure when he isn’t sharing some of the realities of news. He hopes to show his flare while telling stories in the Twin Tiers.
