Stefan Ayanian joined WETM in September 2023 as a multimedia journalist. A true New Jerseyan at heart. He graduated from Sacred Heart University in 2021 with a Bachelor’s in Sports Communications and a Minor in music. He continued his education at Sacred Heart and received his M.A. in Journalism and Media Production in August 2022.
During his time at Sacred Heart, he was a sportswriter for the Spectrum school paper and worked as a freelance reporter for the university TV show The Pulse. He also worked behind the scenes in production as an intern for the university’s athletic series the Coaches Shows. Prior to joining WETM, he worked as a daily reporter and weekend producer for 12 News WBNG in Binghamton, NY.
Outside of work, he enjoys jogging and does photography as a side hobby. He is interested in learning about the Elmira community and letting the people have an opportunity to share their stories about anything that is newsworthy.
