More Clear the Shelters

Clear the shelters is this Saturday! Its august the 17th!
To get a better idea of what to expect for this big event in the community 18 News went to the Chemung County SPCA to get a look at how they are preparing for this special day!

All the cats and dogs that come through the doors of the Chemung county Spca have a different background story and require a special attention to whatever their needs are and you could be just what a kitten or energetic puppy needs in a new loving family home.

We also got expert advice for those looking to adopt a little fur baby of their own this weekend. Matt Guagliardo from the Chemung SPCA tells us how thankful they are for NBCs national coverage of this amazing event. He says the Clear the Shelters event does what they strive to do every day, place loving animals in homes with people that will love and cherish them as members of their families in such a short amount of time.

Its sure to be a busy day on Saturday. So if you want to secure your companion and get ahead of the application process be sure to submit your applications and paperwork to the Chemung County SPCA that way when you get there all you have to do is pick up your fur-baby and take them home!

We hope you come out on Saturday, August 17 and adopt a lovable furry friend! The adoption fees are waived at participating shelters, on august 17 only, pending application approval however other fees may still apply.
