The holiday season is a time for creating special memories, but for some, this time will be spent in the hospital waiting on blood products to help them get well. You can help make the holidays a little brighter for hospital patients by giving something that means something—a lifesaving gift of blood.
Each day, the American Red Cross needs 14,000 blood donations to meet the needs of patients at approximately 2,600 hospitals and transfusion centers across the country. During the holiday season, donations often decline because donors are busier with holiday activities and travelling to see loved ones. The decline could have a serious impact for hospital patients who are depending on generous blood donations.
The Red Cross invites you to add blood donation to your holiday to-do list and start a new family tradition!
Give something that means something this holiday season—give blood on December 16 with WETM 18 and the American Red Cross!
