Samantha Lantz

Samantha is an anchor of 18 News Today, the region's number one local morning newscast. She also serves as a general assignment reporter and has been recognized by the New York State Broadcasters Association with an Excellence in Broadcasting Award for her annual series on breast cancer awareness.

Born and raised in Ulster, Pa., Samantha is no stranger to the Twin Tiers. She enjoys reporting the news and being involved in a community she grew up in and loves.

Samantha is a proud Penn State University graduate, with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. Throughout her undergraduate career, she spent time participating in student media organizations, like the Centre County Report, as a way to gain hands on experience in journalism. While still in college, Samantha traveled to Hong Kong where she did some international reporting and also worked as an intern at WETM. Following graduation, Samantha worked as a news producer at WTAJ in Altoona before coming home to the Twin Tiers in October of 2015.

When Samantha isn't reporting the news or watching it, she enjoys spending time in the great outdoors and visiting family and friends.
