Guthrie physicians spoke with 18 News about the importance of staying cool

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM)- Over the next three to four days the Twin Tiers is going to be experiencing some intense heat that will require community members to be extra careful when they are stepping outside.

Guthrie’s Emergency Physician Mathew Colo talked to 18 News about the resources you should utilize when you are dealing with this type of heat.

Colo said it is always important to remain indoors and in the air conditioning as much as possible. He also touched upon the importance of drinking two to four cups of water per hour on a daily basis to prevent dehydration.
