Even on a bad day exercise releases endorphins, so on days where you’re feeling down or blue or stressed, the best thing for you is to get to the gym. Moving and getting your blood flowing so that before you know it you will begin feeling better physically and mentally.
Maio says that it’s crucial to make time getting to the gym even if it’s only 10 to 15 minutes. She says you’ll think clearer and respond to stresses a lot better.
Even if you’ve had an awful day and feel as if you haven’t accomplished much, like you haven’t made your bed or done that load of laundry Maio says it’s fine because you can feel accomplished by knowing you went to the gym and got moving.
