Chris Barton reflects on World Series of Poker earnings

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – It was a trip that will be remembered forever.

Elmira attorney, Chris Barton, won big at the World Series of Poker Main Event on Friday night. Barton, who played for seven-straight days in Las Vegas, finished in 14th place out of 8,569 players to earn $500,000 dollars.

A player who’s been in the game of poker for decades, Barton says that this place-finish was the most remarkable of his career. The 63-year-old is an attorney at Barton Law Firm in Elmira and will continue to play the game in the future.

18 Sports took the opportunity to visit with Barton and discuss his monumental occasion, which also aired on ESPN2.
