BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo fire crews are currently on the scene of a 3-alarm fire in the Elmwood Village.

The call came in just after 2 a.m. to 1074 Elmwood Avenue.

Currently, Elmwood is closed between Bird and Forest avenues.

Three people were hospitalized following the fire. Another person was not home at the time, and one other person has not been accounted for.

One of the hospitalized men had to be rescued from the second floor. He was burned.

The other two were intubated due to smoke inhalation.

The cause of this fire is not currently known, but Buffalo fire officials are also investigating another fire on Genesee St. that they believe was caused by an arsonist.

The K-9 used at that scene was not able to get into the scene of the Elmwood fire to investigate that one.
