The Wellsboro Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 35th annual “Dickens of a Christmas” on Friday, Nov. 30 – Saturday, Dec. 1 on Main St. and surrounding side streets.
The event features food and craft vendors, strolling musicians and singers, dancers, and street corner thespians in a Victorian atmosphere, as well as local merchant sales.
Vendors will carry a variety of items, including hand-crafted Christmas ornaments, wooden toys, jewelry, quilted items, furniture, wrought iron, homemade cheese & meats, pet treats, heirloom Santas, stuffed animals, and dolls.
In 2017 more than 175 vendors lined the streets for the annual event.
In addition, several indoor craft shows will be held at the United Methodist Church, the Wellsboro Senior Center, and the Firemen’s Annex.
Hamilton Gibson Productions will present “A Christmas Carol” at the Coolidge Theater & Warehouse Theater throughout the festivities. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
