The 42nd Annual Sparkle Festival was held on Market Street in Corning Saturday night. Year after year hundreds of people flood the street to explore all kinds of activities and vendors.
There was everything from horse and wagon rides to getting your picture taken with Santa. There were even live reindeer, though some said they weren’t exactly in the Christmas spirit.
“One reindeer was really mad,” Sparkle attendee Krista Symons said. “So we weren’t allowed to stick our fingers in or anything.”
Kirsi Symons, a Mansfield, Pa. resident said the festivals extensive options keep families across the Southern Tier coming back.
“Fireworks, the train, the live nativity, we’ve got a long list,” Symons said. “It’s amazing, it’s a great time to spend with your family, it doesn’t cost much. Just a really great experience.”
