The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a fourth suspect as  part of an investigation into an alleged murder in the town of Newfield.

Deputies charged 39-year-old Melissa Minnick with fourth-degree conspiracy in connection with the death of 30-year-old Camden Rundell.

Three other people face murder charges in Rundell’s death.

Colleen McColgin of Dryden, 37, Jamie Gerhart of Ithaca, 38, and Roy Clements Jr., 39, of Ithaca are jailed without bail on second-degree murder charges.

The investigation began when Tompkins County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a report of a man suffering a heart attack at a home on Burdge Hill Road around 5:02 a.m. on Friday.

They found Rundell unresponsive in the backyard of the home and initially ruled it a suspicious death.

The Sheriff’s Office began investigating the case as a homicide after an autopsy on Saturday.

Minnick was arraigned in the Town Of Newfield Court and taken to the Tompkins County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.
