The fifth annual Carter’s Christmas fundraiser will be Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Sayre Elks Club, located at 117 S. Elmer Ave., Sayre, Pa.
Carter’s Christmas is held in honor of Carter James Lackey, who passed away when he was nine-months-old due to a Mitochondrial Disorder called Leigh’s disease.
All of the money raised goes to the Carter Lackey Family Research Fund with the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation.
The event will include over 40 craft and direct sales consultants, Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle, bake sale, free pictures with Santa, face painting, story time by local author Maureen Wright, a toy drive benefiting the Ronald McDonald House of Danville, PA, and more.
The Carter Lackey Family Research Fund has raised over $22,000 for treatment, trials, and research.
