Arctic League volunteers plan to help 2,866 children receive Christmas presents

News

The Arctic League volunteers have been helping Santa Clause pack bags filled with toys, for children in Chemung County to receive on Christmas morning.

Saturday is the final packing night, a 12 night tradition that has been happening for over 100 years.

“It’s so great for a child to have a gift for Christmas because if it wasn’t for the arctic league that child wouldn’t have any,” Packing Director at the Arctic League, John Corsi, said.

In total, 2,866 children will receive Christmas gifts through the non-profit organization.
