Arrest made in suspected meth lab explosion

A suspect in an alleged meth lab explosion last week has been arrested in Montour Falls.

Jared N.Voorhees, 21, is charged with Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine in the 3rd degree, a Class D felony.

This was in relation to the ongoing investigation into a house fire at 327 Lounsbury Avenue, Elmira Heights, on Dec. 1. 

Voorhees was arraigned in Elmira Heights Court and remanded to the Chemung County Jail on $50,000 Bail/$100,00 Bond.

The second suspect, Chad G. White, is still at large.
