One step into Maybe Baby Burgers in Bath and it’s sure to bring you back in time… to the 1950s specifically.
The burger joint styled around the ’50s is officially open for business and it’s located where the former Bear’s restaurant once stood.
Owner Troy Goho, his friends, and family gutted the inside and completely changed the concept.
Buddy Holly is one of his favorite artists and Goho likes his song ‘Maybe Baby,’ so that’s where it all generated from.
“I wanted a family-friendly environment, some place that everyone likes, and who doesn’t like a burger?” Goho asked.
Depending on how old you are, the whole place will have you feeling nostalgic or give you a taste of what it was like to grow up then.
The restaurant sports a classic checkered floor with red and white retro diner booth seats.
Actual shoes are attached to the ceiling referring to, of course, dancing on the ceiling.
A drive-in movie screen is by the condiment area, so customers can enjoy a film while they eat.
There’s also an old-school TV playing nothing other than 50’s television.
Now, let’s get to the best part: The food! Almost every burger on the menu is named after a 1950s reference like Leave It To Bacon, Wonderland, and Country Cash.
If burgers aren’t your thing, they do have vegetarian options like a crab cake burger and falafel burger. Chicken sandwiches and salads are also available in addition to dessert items.
Despite the restaurant being open for only four days, there are almost two dozen five-star reviews on Facebook raving about the atmosphere and food.
One customer, Sandy Owens, is looking forward to returning and bringing her significant other.
“Oh my gosh, I’m so excited,” Owens said. “It’s so hard to find a really good place where you can get a great burger, so I can’t wait to go home and tell Kenny now, ‘We found a spot. We know where we could get a really good burger.'”
