Bears spotted on Corning trail cam

Bear in Corning

Two black bears were spotted on trail cam last weekend near the town of Corning.

The videos were submitted by a member of the 18 News team whose trail cam picked up the two black bears walking through the field.

According to the New York Department of Environmental Conservation, there are approximately 6,000-8,000 black bears in open hunting areas in New York.

While 50-60 percent of black bears are in the Adirondack region, there is a growing number of sightings in the Southern Tier.
