A Pennsylvania man was arrested after a strange encounter with State Police.
On the evening of April 15, Troopers responded to a one-vehicle crash on the 2300 block of Thompson Hill Road in South Creek Township.
Troopers encountered Daryl Barnes of Gillett, PA, who appeared to be under the influence and was acting erratically. After being placed in the patrol car, Barnes began to climb into the front of the vehicle and had to be tied to the front of the car.
Barnes then told Troopers he “had a Smith & Wesson (gun) waiting” for one of the Troopers. He then proceeded to bite one of the Trooper’s hands before being transported to the Bradford County Correctional Facility.
Barnes was charged with Aggravated Assault, DUI, Resisting Arrest, Terroristic Threats, and other related charges.
