Bridge rehabilitation and resurfacing on Route 6 in Charleston Township, Tioga County, will continue next week.

The contractor will begin road widening work next week, and an 11-foot width restriction will be in place.

This project, which began last year, includes rehabilitating a bridge spanning a tributary to Charleston Creek, milling, widening, paving, drainage upgrades and new guide rail on approximately .75-mile section of roadway.

This project is expected to be completed in September 2019.

Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc., of State College is the prime contractor on this $3 million project.
