A Candor man is facing a number of charges after police say he had sexual contact with a minor.
New York State Police arrested Matthew Williams, 25, on June 24th.
He’s charged with one felony count of sexual abuse 1st degree, two misdemeanor counts of unlawfully dealing with a child 1st degree and two misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Police say the arrest followed an investigation of an incident that was reported on June 22nd.
They say Williams had sexual contact with a victim less than 13-years-old, and that he had also given the victim and another child alcohol to consume while in the Town of Danby.
Williams was arraigned in the Town of Danby Court and taken to the Tompkins County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 property bond.
