Canisteo man arrested after drug bust

Michael DuBois of Canisteo was arrested after a drug bust was carried out by the Canisteo Village Police Department.

Police conducted a search warrant on Tuesday, April 30 on North Street after receiving multiple complaints of drug activity taking place at the residence over the past few weeks.  

Police confiscated several drug paraphernalia items and packaging material during the search.

DuBois is charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree with intent to sell, two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree, and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.  

DuBois was transported to the Steuben County Jail to await arraignment. 

This investigation was conducted in a joint effort by members of the Canisteo Village Police Department along with the New York State Police and the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office.
