A driver who suffered a medical condition crashed into the Villager Apartments on Watkins Road in Horseheads early Monday morning.
Horseheads Police say Kenneth Vanamburg of Ithaca attempted to turn onto Westinghouse Road when he suffered a medical episode around 5:30 a.m.
Vanamburg’s car went off the road and struck building b in the apartment complex, forcing some residents to evacuate.
The building has been deemed safe by Horseheads Code Enforcement, and only one apartment was deemed unsafe to live in at this time.
Vanamburg was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries and cited for vehicle and traffic violations.
Horseheads Police were assisted by Horseheads Fire Department, Erway Ambulance, and Horseheads Code Enforcement.
