Catholic Charity raising money with Empty Bowls

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – The Catholic Charities’ Samaritan Center will host the 14th annual luncheon next month. Empty Bowls aims to increase awareness, while decreasing hunger throughout community.

They team up with local pottery artists to create unique and colorful bowls. With each bowl sold, they donate to serve children and families in the Chemung County.

Today, they have raised over 223,000 in their efforts to help local families. This years event is held on October 15th and coincides with World Food day.
