Chief Assistant District Attorney for Schuyler County, announces candidacy for Judge

Matt Hayden, Chief Assistant District Attorney for Schuyler County,  announced his candidacy for Schuyler County Judge, on Tuesday.

Hayden has been the Chief Assistant since 2004. In 2013, he was awarded the “Prosecutor of the Year” for the State of New York. This  award is given to only one prosecutor, annually, and it recognizes the highest level of integrity, ethics, skill and experience in the courtroom.

Current Schuyler County Judge, Dennis Morris, has announced that he plans to retire at the end of May 2019. The general election for the position will be held in November 2019.
