The Fifty Sixth annual Colonial Days celebration kicks off tomorrow over at Hodgeman Park in Painted Post.
Colonial Days has grown from a modest beginning to one of the largest and longest consecutively held outdoor festivals in upstate New York.
One of the organizers of the three day event says there’s fun for the whole family.
“It’s a great chance to re-connect with friends, family, neighbors and for a lot of families this is a generations long tradition, should be a good reception,” said Thomas D. Magnusen. “It should be a good reception, we are expecting good weather this weekend. Everything is good to go,” Magnusen added.
Magnusen says he looks forward to the start of the summer season and believes the crowds will show up for a fun-filled week to experience the sights and sounds of tradition.
