Congressman Tom Reed, talked about how he’s working on assuring homeowners and private businesses receive the aid they need to repair flood damages.
This comes as President Donald Trump officially declared parts of the Southern Tier to be a “major disaster” area and directed federal assistance to help those impacted by severe storms and flooding in August.
Federal funding is available to State, tribal, and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by the severe storms and flooding from Aug. 13 to Aug. 15.
