The New York State Department of Transportation announced Monday that, weather permitting, on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, state forces maintenance work will begin on a shoulder reconstruction project on State Route 54 approximately 1.5 miles north of the County Route 87 intersection in the town of Wayne, Steuben County.
Traffic will be maintained with a one-lane, two-way traffic pattern controlled by temporary signals on State Route 54. Work is anticipated to last approximately three weeks.
Motorists are urged to slow down and safely move over when approaching roadside vehicles displaying red, white, blue, amber or green lights, including maintenance and construction vehicles in work zones.
