Earlier today, the Steuben County IDA, Empire State Development and Corelle Brands Holdings, Inc. announced that Corelle Brands LLC, a leading kitchenware products maker and distributor, is moving forward with a $50 million modernization project as its manufacturing facility in Corning, New York.

The project, will enable the company to expand production capacity and create 25 new jobs while retaining 515 existing positions.

Wilkes, President and Chief Executive officer of, Corelle Brands Holding Inc., and Corelle Brands LLC. “It is fitting to make this significant investment in a facility that has played such an important role in the history of our iconic brands and in the community where these brands were born. We are committed to continually improve our distinctive products and operations, and help set the standard as a world leader in dinnerware and bakeware. “

Empire State Development has offered a package of performance- based incentives of up to $9 million, in order to encourage Corelle brands to move forward, with this investment. In addition, the Steuben County Industrial Development Agency has offered incentives in the amount of $546,275. NYSEG has also awarded the company a $1.5 million grant.
