Corning man arrested after Steuben County mobile home fire

A Corning man has been arrested and charged after an investigation into a mobile home fire on April 5.

Deputies of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office Arson Investigation Team arrested Michael P. Shepard, 30, Corning on April 22 following an investigation into the blaze.

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office alleges Shepard intentionally started a fire in close proximity to a vacant structure on Faucett Road in Bath, causing the structure to ignite and result in a total loss

Shepard was charged with Reckless Endangerment in the Second Degree, a class A Misdemeanor.

Shepard was released on an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Bath Court at a later date.
