Dogs rescued after owners abandoned them in hurricane Florence

Two rescue volunteers in North Carolina rescued six dogs left behind in the flood waters of hurricane Florence.

The two volunteers, Ryan Nichols and David Rebollar were helping to people evacuate from their flooded homes on Sunday. That’s when they came upon the six dogs in a cage behind a home, the dogs were almost entirely underwater.

The dogs were then gathered onto a boat and moved to a shelter on higher ground.
