(WETM)- After 8 years in office, Dr. Katherine Douglas, president of SUNY Corning Community College is officially retired.
Douglas first came to SUNY Corning back in 2011. Her time there is marked by the expansion of residence halls, the founding of the learning commons and the educational planning center, as well as her commitment to fostering public/private partnerships.
Douglas says this is a bittersweet moment, but she is excited for the next chapter of her life.
” From the students to the faculty to our community, colleagues, its been wonderful to have the opportunity to work together, and when we work together, we’ve been able to accomplish some really fantastic things,” said Dr. Douglas.
William Mullane will replace Douglas as the 7th President of Corning Community College.
