On Thursday night Dr. Stephen Coleman hosted his 14th “Political Pundit Night” at the Elmira Heights Theatre.
Political Pundit Nights are free and open to the public. The night is all about dialogue, free speech, and expression of opinion.
“I should say it was conversation and not confrontation and this is really democracy in action. That’s what Political Pundit Night is all about,” said Political Pundits night founder Dr. Coleman.
The event was full of political experts and local community members who all weighed in and shared their opinion on the debate question of the night “Donald Trump VS. Nancy Pelosi. Who wins and who Loses”?
The audience also had their opportunity to weigh in on the topic. Many sharing passionate remarks about what they think of the current state of our government.
“I love coming to this event and you get to hear the different opinions whether you’re Republican or Democrat, it doesn’t matter,” said Dawn White a Horseheads resident. ” We all come here, we all have a voice and we all get a chance to hear each other and I think that’s what its about at the end of the day. Coming together talking about our differences and allowing each other to have our own separate opinions.”
After a handful of audience comments, the political panel stepped in and shared their viewpoints.
Some agreeing with what audience members said and other contributing another point of view.
The event came to a close with final audience remarks and benediction.
