Driver in deadly snowmobile accident to be arraigned

David Gee, the husband of the late BillieJo Gee, will be arraigned at the Steuben County Court on Wednesday, May 22 for Manslaughter in the first degree.

Gee was driving a snowmobile with his wife BillieJo as a passenger on Monday, January 21 when he failed to yield at State Rt. 417 in Tuscarora. The snowmobile was struck by a van driving down the road, and neither passengers on the snowmobile were wearing helmets.

BillieJo Gee was taken to Guthrie Corning Hospital and pronounced dead at the hospital. David Gee was airlifted by LifeNet to Robert Packer Hospital.

David Gee was originally charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, Vehicular Manslaughter in the Second Degree, and felony Driving While Intoxicated.
