Elmira moving company being fined by OSHA after workplace accident

News

A moving company in Elmira is being fined more than $12,000 for a work-related death.

The person killed was working on a tractor trailer at ‘Dimon and Bacorn’ back in June, when a part fell on him.

An OSHA investigation showed there was no safety cribbing, nor any jack stands, on the front end of the tractor that the man was working on at the time of the accident.

The moving and storage company has 15 days to appeal the fine.
