An Elmira woman is arrested for welfare fraud on Tuesday.
An investigation found 35-year-old Sequena Jones filed fraudulent paperwork with the Department of Social Services and received $2,460 in Public Assistance Benefits she was not eligible to receive.
Jones is facing felony charges for welfare fraud, grand larceny, and offering a false instrument for filing.
The investigation was conducted by the Department of Social Services Special Investigation Unit and the Elmira Police Department.
