Erie County GOP chair Nick Langworthy to become NY Republican chair

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Erie County Republican Party Chairman Nick Langworthy will become the New York State Republican Party’s chairman.

Langworthy takes over for Ed Cox, who has served in the role since 2009.

Last month, Langworthy posted a message on Twitter, saying “Let’s Rebuild, Retool and Revitalize the Republican Party in the State of New York. I am proud to announce that I am running for Chairman of the New York Republican State Committee.”

Langworthy has been endorsed by the New York Young Republicans Club.
