Like father, like son!

Madam Secretary has enlisted Sam Daly, the son of star Tim Daly, for a juicy guest-starring role, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

Daly will play Win Van Alden, Daisy’s (Patina Miller) new fiancé who’s a medical marijuana lobbyist. The casting comes after the surprising turn of events on Sunday’s episode, in which — spoiler alert! — Matt (Geoffrey Arend) rushed to Daisy’s apartment to confess his true feelings for her, only to discover that Win had just proposed and she said… yes. Suffice it to say, things will be pretty awkward when Matt and Win finally come face-to-face in Episode 10 of the political drama.

Daly’s others credits include Grey’s Anatomy, The Office, Castle and Murder in the First. He currently shares the screen with his famous father on the YouTube series The Daly Show.

Madam Secretary airs Sundays at 8/7c on CBS. Are you excited to meet Daisy’s fiancé? Who do you think she should choose?

(Full disclosure: TVGuide.com is owned by CBS.)
