Family separation rally in Elmira

Families are being torn apart and some Americans gathered together to help put an end to it.

These rally’s have been taking place all across the U.S, as thousands are coming together to demand separated migrant children to be reunited with their parents.

People say they are saddened by what the see happening at the boarder. “I’ll defend my love of this country to anyone who ask, but I can not defend this” says event organizer Elizabeth Brown- Shook.

Participants from both sides of the political aisle, came out to show, this isn’t about politics, but it’s a basic human rights issue.

And you don’t have to be an adult to care.

“You are never too young to take action. It is not only your civic duty, but your duty as a human being to use your voice, where you can.” says 22 year-old Arden Mlynarczyk.

This was a peaceful rally and there was no opposition. Goes to show its bigger than the boarder, its bigger than immigrants, its about keeping the family unit in tact
