Advocates of Earth Day met at SUNY Corning Community College (CCC) for the annual SUNY Corning Community College Earth Day Farmers’ Market. More than a dozen environmentally friendly organizations from the community shared advice for enhancing your lives with green alternatives.
The event was followed by the ceremonial groundbreaking for the College’s STEAM Innovation Center.
“The Earth Day Farmers’ Market is a one-stop opportunity to discover the many positive and planet-saving options that are available to us in our community,” said Dr. Donna Powers, professor of biology at Corning Community College and Earth Day Farmers’ Market co-organizer. “In one afternoon and in one location, you can learn what we’re doing to protect our watershed, how we’re preserving local bird populations, and how we can support our local farmers.”
