First 2300° Event at CMoG Tonight!

Start the season of celebrating with a great 2300° event tonight at the Corning Museum of Glass!

Make some memories and spend a night with your friends and family, enjoying great music, and amazing live glassmaking. As always, the event is free and open to the public.

Studio Artist-in-Residence, Fredrik Nielsen will demonstrate on the Amphitheater Hot Shop floor. Known for combining aspects of pop culture such as graffiti, music, videos, and performance into his glass art, he constantly pushes the boundaries of glass as a material and often creates sculptures that appear unfinished and rough around the edges.

Get ready for a party with Whiskey Shivers in the Auditorium! Banjos, fiddles, and even washboards combine with this high-energy, high-fun bluegrass group that blends elements of punk energy with traditional Americana for a sound that is rich and layered.

Brand new this year! from 5 to 7:30 p.m., we invite you to make your very own, totally customized beer glass! For just $13 per glass, you can have a beer glass that is completely unique to you. Best of all, these projects are ready to take with you as soon as their finished–no cooling necessary! Use that glass to taste some great, local Finger Lakes craft beers.
