TUESDAY SUNRISE: 7:03 AM

TUESDAY SUNSET: 4:42 PM

Early snow showers linger into Tuesday morning with wake up temperatures in the 30s to start. Another day with unseasonably chilly temperatures, as daytime highs, only top out in the mid to upper-30s. Steady snowfall should come to an end by the morning hours. The concern looks to shift to lake effect showers and instability which will continue to bring a rain and snow mix to the region through the afternoon depending on temperature profiles. Any additional snow accumulation looks to be under an inch through Wednesday morning. Winds will be out of the west, on the light side, anywhere from 5-10 mph. With a westerly wind flow, the greatest chances for snow will be along NY Thurway areas.

Scattered instability driven snow showers overspread central NY through Tuesday evening. Overnight lows drop to the low to mid-20s under mostly cloudy skies. Winds will shift out of the southwest, anywhere from 5-10 mph.

An arctic cold front moves through Wednesday bringing, snow showers to the region with limited sunshine. In the wake of the cold front that will slide through Wednesday evening, it will provide frigid conditions for Thanksgiving. Sunshine sticks around for Thursday and Friday. There is a chance to break a record low Thursday night into Friday of 8 degrees that was set back in 2014. Temperatures will rebound back into the 30s to round out the work week and reach the 40s for the upcoming weekend with rain and snow chances increasing.
