Cold air continues to usher into the region Tuesday night. Temperatures drop into the low to mid 20s for overnight lows. Chance for light showers to flurries continues, with little to no snow accumulation.
Increasing wind speeds Wednesday as a cold front moves through the region. Northwest winds 10-20 mph, with gusts of 25 mph or more at times. Northwest winds continuing to usher in the cold with highs Wednesday in the low to mid 30s. Strong winds dropping wind chill temperatures into the 20s and teens at times. Strong winds also producing a few snow squalls, which will drop visibility for those on the roads. Accumulations staying light, but higher elevations may see closer to 2″ of snowfall throughout the day. Chance for light showers to flurries Wednesday night, and lows near 10 degrees.
Getting even colder for us Thursday following Wednesday’s cold front. Bitterly cold with highs only reaching to near 20 degrees. Lows Thursday night in the single digits. High pressure building into the region puts an end to any lingering flurries early Thursday, then decreases our cloud cover throughout the day. High pressure still in control Friday, giving us plenty of sunshine and dry weather. Highs Friday near 30 degrees. Closer to average for temperatures this weekend. Next weather-maker making an impact starting Saturday. We have a chance for a wintry mix to rain returning, depending on timing of this system. Chance for showers continues Sunday, and highs in the 40s.
