AVERAGE HIGH FOR DECEMBER 13TH: 38°
AVERAGE LOW FOR DECEMBER 13TH : 22°
THURSDAY SUNRISE: 7:27 AM
THURSDAY SUNSET: 4:36 PM
Wake up temperatures Thursday morning begin in the 20s and 30s for most with light snow moving through. As temperatures warm up to the low-40s, some rain may mix in with flurries by the afternoon hours. Southeasterly winds remain light, anywhere from 5-10 mph. Skies will remain mostly cloudy with limited sunshine for the Twin Tiers.
The weather pattern looks to stay mainly dry through the evening and overnight hours, but thanks to the lack of ice crystals in the atmosphere, patchy freezing drizzle is possible across Northeast PA and the western Catskills as temperatures drop to the mid to upper-20s. Skies will remain mostly cloudy with high pressure moving into New England, providing a light southeasterly wind flow.
A storm system moves into the region from the south Friday evening. The system brings moisture along with slightly warmer temperature. The chance for rain increases Friday night and will linger into the weekend. Temperatures remain warmer than average Friday and Saturday with highs in the mid-40s. Overall a mostly cloudy weekend with warmer temperatures and the chance for rain showers. We then track sunshine attempting to make a return for mid next week.
