A Flood Watch in effect for the entire Twin Tiers through tonight. Heavy rainfall may cause poor drainage issues along with standing water in low lying issues. Concerns for areas along with the Susquehanna and Delaware River basins.
Rain starts off Friday morning with mild temperatures, in the 50s. Cloudy and hazy conditions for most areas this morning as moisture draws in from the south. Occasional rain will linger through the afternoon. Total rainfall through Friday of 1-2″ possible, which may cause poor drainage issues. A strong southerly wind flow will continue to usher in the warmer than average temperatures, with highs in the low-60s!
Rain lingers tonight and thunder is possible due to mid-level instability during the overnight hours. Overnight lows stay above average in the mid to upper-30s. Winds will shift out of the west and may become gusty along hilltops, with gusts upwards of 30 mph at times. skies remain mostly cloudy.
The chance for rain turns to snow during Saturday afternoon as temperatures cool to the mid to upper-30s. This is as wrap around moisture ushers in from the northwest. Highs Saturday reaching to near 40 degrees, then lows into the mid to upper 20s. Flurries still possible on Sunday, and highs approaching 40 degrees.
