A Flood Watch in effect for the Twin Tiers through Friday night. Heavy rainfall may cause poor drainage issues along with standing water in low lying issues. Concerns for areas along with the Susquehanna and Delaware River basins.
Scattered heavy downpours along with rumbles of thunder continue into Friday evening. A cold front passing the region, and temperatures drop from west to east through the overnight. Lows Friday night in the low to mid-30s. Lingering rainfall mixing with snow into early Saturday. Overnight rainfall near 1″ for most of the Twin Tiers, higher amounts in stronger thunderstorms.
Chance for showers continues into Saturday. Snowfall of a trace up to 1″ in higher elevations. Northwest winds 10-20 mph with gusts of 30 mph or more through the afternoon. Highs Saturday reaching in the mid to upper 30s, but feeling more like the 20s for the afternoon. Mainly dry Saturday night, and lows in the low to mid-20s.
Most of Sunday stays dry, and temperatures reach into the mid to upper 30s for highs. A weak clipper system brings a chance for snow Sunday night into Monday. Snowfall of 1-2″ possible into early next week.
