FRIDAY SUNRISE: 7:35 AM
FRIDAY SUNSET: 4:43 PM
Rain showers linger for Friday night. Otherwise, mostly cloudy with temperatures dropping to near 40 for overnight lows. Winds shift from southwest to west through the overnight.
Wind speeds of 5-15 mph out of the northwest Saturday as a cold front passes the region. This not only allows temperatures to drop through the afternoon, but also sets the Twin Tiers up for some light snow showers. Accumulations throughout the day of a dusting up to 1″ in higher elevations. Temperatures in the mid to upper 30s for the morning, then low to mid 30s for the afternoon. Chance for flurries Saturday night, and lows in the low to mid 20s.
Sunday stays mainly dry, but a passing flurry can’t be completely ruled out. Otherwise, some breaks of sunshine and highs in the mid to upper 30s. Next low pressure system moves in early next week, which increases our chances for rain into Monday night. This system also brings slightly warmer temperatures with highs into the 40s through Tuesday.
