We had a warmer day across the Twin Tiers once again on Sunday, with temperatures topping off in the mid to upper 40s which did allow for continual snow and ice melt across the region. Tonight we see patchy fog develop with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures above average in the low to low to mid-30s. With temperatures enar freezing, any melted snow may re-freeze – take it slow on any untreated surfaces. Winds out of the south 0-5 mph as warmer air continues to enter into the region for Monday!
We wake up on Monday to sunshine as well as some patchy fog early. Clouds will increase into the afternoon ahead of our next chance for rain showers into Monday night and early Tuesday. Southerly flow 5-10 mph, along with heating towards the surface, allows for temperatures to reach the low to mid-50s for high temperatures.
Rainfall Monday night into early Tuesday should not be heavy in nature, with around a tenth of an inch of rainfall expected across the Twin Tiers.
We then track another system moving in for late Wednesday into Thursday. This looks to bring a wintry mix to rain at times, before ending as some light snow and flurries late Friday and early Saturday morning. Near average temperatures in the low 30s look to return for next weekend.
