Northwest winds increasing our cloud cover Monday evening and giving us a chance for light showers into the overnight. Winds stay breezy through the night, out of the northwest 5-15 mph. Temperatures drop into the mid to upper 20s for overnight lows.
High pressure building in from the east Tuesday puts an end to lingering lake-effect early. Chance for early flurries, otherwise mostly cloudy to start. As high pressure builds into the region, that will decrease our cloud cover from the Northern Tier to Southern Tier. A dry afternoon and highs reaching near 40 degrees. Staying windy through the afternoon, out of the northwest 5-15 mph with gusts over 20 mph at times. High pressure in control Tuesday night with mainly clear skies and dry weather continuing. Limited to no cloud cover and wind speeds decreasing sets the stage for radiational cooling. Lows Tuesday night into the teens.
Staying mainly dry for Wednesday, but with increasing cloud cover. Starting a warming trend into the end of the work week. Temperatures into the 50s Thursday and near 60 degrees for highs Friday. Next storm system makes an impact for the end of the work week. Chance for rain showers returns Thursday and chance for showers continues for Friday.
